Fibermark Gets A Big Efficent Boosted; Called the Vermont Way. This story is interesting:
FiberMark recently completed a lighting upgrade with Efficiency Vermont, the 17th project the company has worked on with Efficiency Vermont since 2000. The upgrade will save them $65,800 a year off their electric bill, or 880,000 kilowatt hours.
Since 2000, FiberMark has saved an estimated two million kilowatt hours and more than two million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions, the equivalent of taking 200 cars off the road, said Alexandra Tursi, a public relations specialist for FiberMark.
"FiberMark is a prime example of the Vermont way of doing business in a way that's environmentally conscious," she said.
FiberMark is a specialty paperboard manufacturer based in Brattleboro. The company's recycled paperboard products, the majority of which are produced from renewable resources, end up in many offices around the world in the form of file folders, presentation binders and book covers.
